Women Helping Women Boston

The first Women Helping Women event in Boston was a success! An enthusiastic crowd came out, despite the storm, to the reception at Woodward at Ames to support the campaign and to meet the 2011 Women Helping Women honoree, Saran Kaba Jones (above). Saran is the founder of FACE Africa, our implementing partner for the 2011 Women Helping Women water project in Liberia.

Thanks to all of the women (and men!) who were so excited to learn more about the water crisis in Sub-Saharan Africa, meet Saran, and support the Voss Foundation! More photos of the event, courtesy of Braden Summers, can be found here.

The reception also featured a silent auction of Stuart Franklin’s Mali photos and a raffle with prizes from La Perla, Moet-Hennessy, Greenvale Vineyards and the Red Sox. Proceeds will help the Voss Foundation support the upcoming project in Liberia.

Voss Foundation’s Women Helping Women campaign is an international fundraising effort of over 300 women in 8 countries that funds water projects in Sub-Saharan Africa.

The Voss Foundation and FACE Africa are grateful to everyone who attended the event and to all the sponsors who helped make the night a success. We are so excited for the growing Boston chapter of Women Helping Women!
